What is it: Nail art stickers
Introducing Kiss Nail Dress, ultimate nail fashion for tips and toes! Just peel, apply, and shape for a manicure that lasts up to 10 days. On in minutes, off in seconds without remover. Nail Dress is available in 18 different styles, many of them featuring 3-dimensional jeweled designs. Check out Peplum, a deep black with multi-colored gems for a pop of color, or Babydoll, for a golden and glamorous jeweled look. Skip the topcoat; Nail Dress has it built in.

With 28 strips in each package, you can cut up your extras to create designs that can be used on top of polished or artificial nails. Nail Dress doesn’t dry out the way other polish strips can, so you can save them to use on your next DIY mani. A nail design booklet is included in each package, just in case you need a little inspiration.

And don’t forget about your feet! Nail Dress looks awesome on toes, too – just use the square side of the sticker for a perfect fit.
Nail Dress’ suggested retail is $6.99 and is available in all major drug chains and mass retailers like WalMart, CVS and Walgreens.
I'll confess: I'm a nail art addict. I didn't have high hopes for these but I was proved wrong. I got a pedi and a mani out of one pack with extra to spare. Score! At $7.00 a pop, that's a pretty good deal.
These were also dead simple to apply; it took me less than ten minutes to do my hands, and less than half an hour to do my hands AND toes.

I got compliments literally within the first hour of wearing these. I personally wouldn't have chosen the design I got for myself, but it got people's attention and it was cute.

I found they worked better when I clipped/cut the hanging edges and then filed the remainder. It's a much cleaner edge that way. Some people have reported that these last longer when you use topcoat over them, but I didn't try that since I wanted to test them as they claimed to be used.

Pro:
  • Ease of application/removal
  • Value
  • Variety of designs (including jeweled ones!)
  • Readily available (I've seen these in all my local drugstores)
  • Unused strips stay usable even after you've opened the package
Neutral:
  •  Didn't last as long as stated on fingernails, but lasted longer than stated on toes, so it's a bit of a draw (three days/two weeks, respectively)
Con:
  • May weaken some nail beds (mine felt slightly weaker, but not 100% sure about that)
  • They leave a residue after you take them off
  • Some odor when you apply them

Conclusion: Worth the purchase if you love nail art or want something fun for a special occasion!

Oh hai there internets.

I'm Miss Mercurial and this is my blog. I'm planning to use this as a beauty/makeup blog, for purposes of swatches, reviews, and whatnot (this applies to nail polish as well). I want to focus on MMU/indie sellers and/or online retailers, because I for one am indebted to bloggers before me who have helped me decide whether or not I would purchase something.

I've already got a couple things slated for posting:
  • A review of Crushed Botanicals
  • Review & swatches of my first Psyche Minerals order
  • Review & swatches of my first Brazen Cosmetics order
  • Review & swatches of my first Fyrinnae order
  • Comparison between online discount shopping sites (MYHABIT, Gilt Groupe, Hautelook, ideeli, Rue La La, and Heartsy)
  • My reviewing criteria/system
  • A post about myself for reference (e.g. skin tone, sensitivities, etc.)
I hope that it'll be a fun and mutually useful/enjoyable experience for all, so here's to the dawn of Glitter, Glimmer, Sparkle & Shimmer!
